ITINERARY
Let's start: Meeting of the participants at the agreed collection points and departure for the Carrara Marble Quarries.
Discovering the quarries: Behind the mountains I change and start with one of our Land Rover Defender (8 seats) reserved. Along the way, information on the social and historical characteristics of the territory will be provided. Along private roads, winding and steep, we will reach in a few minutes the highest quarries, up to over 1000 meters above sea level. Various stops will be made inside numerous active quarries of different types (open pit, well etc.), for technical explanations, to see the various phases of excavation and to take highly panoramic photographs before entering a spectacular underground cave, where even the most disenchanted visitors can not mask the emotion that you feel in a decidedly lunar environment.
A taste of the territory: Tasting of the renowned Lardo di Colonnata PGI accompanied by a glass of iced Prosecco and/or a refreshing drink, before returning to the place of departure.
Return: Return to Lucca.
